Canis Major represents one of Orion’s hunting dogs, following Orion through the sky. To find Canis Major use the constellation of Orion to guide you. Find the three stars that form Orion’s belt, extend the line they form down across the sky until you find the very bright star Sirius in the head of the dog. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky.
